Another tech goody from the mailbag is a versatile new FireWire (i.Link or IEEE 1394) cable. The GoldX QuickConnect cable comes with adapters for its ends, so it can accommodate any combination of four-pin and six-pin ports on devices or computers. Just change the ends depending on the gadget you're using.

There's also a GoldX 5-in-1 USB cable.

The cables are available online at www.radioshack.ca (that's the Canadian RadioShack, so keep the currency conversion in mind) and allegedly at some U.S. retailers, though it's so new, I couldn't find it online in other stores that are supposed to carry it.
